Oh so now that I’m looking on the schedule from Wednesday i remember my fabulous day ;] First we met with Chuck Todd, NBC Chief White House Correspondent. HE WAS GREAT! He talked about how he and President Obama met Willy Mays at an all star game earlier this week. Mr. Todd was so inspired and grateful to have met Willy Mays which was exciting for me because I love baseball. I’ve been raised around it my whole life. After Chuck Todd Dean of George Mason University Admissions gave us such a fabulous and informational session about what college admissions staff look at, I was ready to apply to my colleges right then and there! But the heavily anticipated mall trip to Pentagon City Fashion Center made me forget about applications and focus on where to shop for only 1 HOUR! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT???? ONE HOUR TO SHOP AND EAT! OH YEAH…NOT JUST SHOP…BUT SHOP AND EAT!! What in the world were these people thinking??? That was definately all everybody talked about all day yesterday. And silly me when i saw on the schedule before my arrival that we were going to the mall…i thought they were talking about the National Mall where everybody crowded to watch President Obama become the 44th US President. But best believe I was not heart broken to go to a shopping mall! So after that we went to Capitol Hill. I loved that place. It was sooo beautiful there. I swear DC is like the coolest most fabulous place in the country. Well not most fabulous because LA and NYC are comming to mind saying, “whoa slow your roll there miss ashley!” But DC is really cool because everything that has happened in America or has involved Amerca is in this little little city! Its soooo facinating i love it! But you know wat was not so fabulous…there was a shooting in the Capitol Hill area yesterday!! Can you believe that??? And even crazier is that we left Captiol Hill at 4:00pm and this incident happened at 5:15pm!! I did a radio podcast reporting on it hopefully i can upload it for you all. But anyways let me go because I can talk forever!!! love you guys

Well to begin my fabulous day, i overslept. Since i was comatose when my alarm went off, i remember having the thought, “this thing is tooo loud”, dismissing it, and going back to sleep. 30 minutes later my fabulous friend Chloe texted me asking if i was going to breakfast. Thank God for Chloe because who knows when my roommates and i would have gotten out of the rock these dorm halls call a bed. Our festivities began with the fabulous Jennifer Carroll, VP for Gannet Company Inc. which is a publishing company with interests in newspapers including USA Today, television and the Internet, and ConnectOne. After her short but sweet explanation, us fabulous WJMC-ers participated in a Press Conference with Josh Earnest, Deputy White House Press Secretary. For those of you who know me know I’d do ANYTHING to get close to President Obama. Suddenly with this man i felt like I was with Obama :] Mr. Earnest was AMAZING! I wish the press conference could have been longer! And immediately following Mr. Earnest was a FABULOUS panel of young journalists. They too were absolutely AMAZING! So much information presented to us today and honestly today was the first and only day i wish our panels and guests speakers talked to us longer! I mean, i didn’t even go to sleep on ANYONE! I LOVED IT! Soon I will be getting ready for our Fabulous gala tonight. xoxo Ashley

IT HAS BEEN SOOOO LONG SINCE I HAVE POSED SOMETHING ON MY BLOG! Unfortunately because of this I am going to have to go backwards in my events…yall know my memory is bad. I can better remember what has recently happened ;] so anyways …let the story begin…

Happy Monday morning everybody! Its Monday…ugh. I really do not like Mondays! But actually being around all you guys makes my Monday a lot better then it usually is [no offense mommy]. Lets talk about those beds…totally not fabulous! And my room was cold and there was this really loud running water noise! But other than those things my night was pretty fabulous.

Last night i had major problems with my Internet connecting! Not so fabulous! But anyways yesterday was a good day! The food was semi-fabulous…Brian Lamb…he’s pretty fabulous…and my group…we’re the definition of fabulosity :] Oh and how can i forget my roommates!?? FABULOUS! So hopefully i can meet a lot of new people…so far so good ;] Everybody here is pretty chill and friendly. Thank the lord! So yeah this should have been Sunday night’s blog but now its happening Monday morning. Welcome to WJMC
